Healthwatch Warrington in Collaboration with Warrington Disability Parnerships Long Covid Support team held a Coffee morning at the Gateway to feedback on accessing services and their experiences with Long Covid in Warrington.

What is Long Covid?

Most people with coronavirus (COVID-19) feel better within a few days or weeks of their first symptoms and make a full recovery within 12 weeks. For some people, symptoms can last longer. This is called Long Covid or post COVID-19 syndrome.

Healthwatch Warrington are working with Warrington Disability Partnership which offers a Long Covid Support Service in Warrington. 

We want to understand people's experiences of accessing help and support from Warrington.

On the 27th October, we held a Coffee morning to listen to the views of Warrington Residents so that we can feedback and recommend improvements for services dealing with Long Covid. 

We had over 20 members of the public drop in and share their views, but if you weren't able to attend you can still feedback and share your experiences.

CYP Mental & Wellbeing Experiences through COVID Pandemic Report

Healthwatch Warrington has highlighted the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Children and Young People in Warrington. Our original report in 2020 highlighted issues with services in Warrington. Warrington and Halton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) commissioned the more detailed report which describes young peoples' experiences throughout lockdown.
A total of 1,342 people fed information into the report, including 21 GPs, 87 teachers, 11 professionals, 384 parents, 554 Key stage 3-5 Young people and 26 KS1-2 children via survey data.
Engagement interviews took place with 69 parents/carers, 132 young people, 16 teachers/mental health teams and 42 CYP Practitioners/Professionals.

COVID 19 Survey Result Report

With the global pandemic taking the world from normality to lockdown, we wanted to use this time to assess how changes to society and lockdown had impacted residents of Warrington in regards to their wellbeing and how they access health & social care services.
