Healthwatch Warrington CEO, Lydia Hughes commented:

“We are delighted to have Norman step into the role as our Interim Chair as he has a passion for championing the voices of local people in Warrington. As current Vice Chair of our Advisory Board, it will be a smooth transition”.

Norman is an existing board member of Healthwatch Warrington and is an active member of the local community as for the last eight years he has been a Governor and Lead Governor at Warrington Halton Hospital NHS Trust (WHH).

Norman stated

“I have a strong commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and diversity. To these ends, I have worked with governors to promote WHH in the ethnic and minority groups in Warrington and bring their voices to the table.

I believe that to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for all, we must work in an environment that is open and transparent, with integrity where everyone is respected and accountable to each other and the organisation.”

Healthwatch Warrington will commence a recruitment campaign in July to find a permanent replacement.
