Healthwatch Warrington Collaborates with Warrington & Halton Hospital NHS Trust to Launch Awareness Card
Inspired by the Healthwatch Essex "Trauma Awareness Card," and lived experience feedback, this initiative has been adapted to support the specific needs of Warrington residents. The Awareness Card aims to inform professionals of potential triggers, such as windowless rooms or questions that might provoke a fight or flight response, ensuring a more person-centred approach to care.
Warrington Worldwide have kindly sponsored the pilot of the new card.
"We are committed to promoting person-centred care and improving the overall patient experience. This card will also help reduce missed appointments, as the patients' needs are being considered. This should also help patient frustration and reduce conflict with staff."
